Lift an Odd Girl Challenge

The latest challenge is up at Some Odd Girl stamps, and the challenge is to lift one of the Odd Girl DT girls!! DT gal Robin lifted a card by Kristy, and I have lifted that same card. I loved this design, and my card came together SO easily.

Here is Kristy's card:

The image Kristy used on her card is called Beachy Tia, isn't she cute!

AND HERE IS MY CARD:

I tried to challenge myself by using different colours to what I usually do, and this Basic Grey paper made my job so easy :) I used the gorgeous Dancin Kaylee image on my card, and she was just a joy to colour!!! These 2 adorable images can be purchased HERE, alongside loads of other cuties. I think I may have to purchase one or two more myself!!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

~ Some Odd Girl - Lift and Odd Girl
~ DYSU Challenge Blog - Sewing
~ Moving Along with the Times - Favourite Things (Copics, Basic Grey & Some Odd Girl Stamps!)

Anita Be Stampin Card

Thanks for stopping by again today. As you can see I am on a huge cardmaking kick at the moment and I am LOVING it!!

The card I have created qualifies for a number of challenges, but the main one I wanted to make this one for is for the latest challenge over at Anita Be Stampin. I used to be on this DT, and what a wonderful team it was!! I resigned from the team because I was battling to keep up with my DT commitments at the time, and I was committed to another site that I had been on for ages, only to be told shortly thereafter that my time was up with them. So that didn't work out too well for me, did it!! Anyway Anita Be Stampin really do produce the most gorgeous stamps, rubber and digi. This is one of their digi images, and isn't she cute!! Go and check out their challenge blog HERE. Their latest challenge is to LAYER IT!! You can't see it too well, but the brown square is popped up, as well as the image on my card :)

Products I used on this card:
Brown patterned paper - Basic Grey
Green & white patterned paper - ?????
Paper flowers from a local shop - I went on a bit of a shopping spree yesterday :)
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug
Font used on sentiment - Ali's Hand
Copics!! :)

The challenges I am entering my card for are:
Anita Be Stampin - Layer it
Bunny Zoe's - Lace
Stamp Something - Use a digi image
Sketch 'n Stash - Latest sketch (It's fab don't you think?!?)
AnnaBelle Stamps - Use the colours Olive, Lemon & Chocolate

Thanks for popping in, hope you enjoyed your little visit :)

New Card Sketch @ Let's Scrap

Morning Ladies.

I should have posted this yesterday, but it was a Public Holiday here in SA as well as voting day so I just didn't get around to it.

Having finished up with all my card making DT's I don't often make cards anymore, so am really enjoying that as part of my Let's Scrap DT requirements, is a once a month Card Sketch!! Here is this months gorgeous sketch:

Debby did a great job with this one, don't you think?!?

Here is my card. I haven't had a chance to use my Copics in a while, so decided to use an adorable AnnaBelle image instead of a quote. The image, sentiment and lovely pink Sprinkles are all by AnnaBelle Stamps, find their shop HERE!

Why don't you stop by LET'S SCRAP and see what they have to offer. If you are looking for a warm, embracing, encouraging, fun, challenging group, it really is the place to be!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, thanks so much to those that take the time to comment, I REALLY do appreciate it :)

A new sketch at Scrapbook Challenges

It's Monday which means Pamela will be posting a new sketch over at Scrapbook Challenges. It's another fab one I must say, and made me think a bit outside my box. I NEVER cut my photos into circles! Must say it made a nice change and this layout was perfect for the page I had in mind!! I had these photos of Ray I wanted to scrap, and I love the male and quite edgy feel my page has! Anyway, here is the sketch:

SKETCH 201:

And here is my page:

The journaling on this page reads ~ In your line of work you are not able to wear a wedding band, so in a wonderfully romantic gesture you got a band tattooed on your finger for our 12th wedding anniversary. I love you more today than I did 12 years ago, and am so touched that, despite your fear of needles you did this for me!

The title & arrows were cut with my Slice. I ran the lettering through my Cuttlebug, and the stars & circle stamps are by Hero Arts. I also used one of my lovely EK Success border punches.

Thanks for stopping by to look at my page. Why not drop by Scrapbook Challenges to see what it's all about!

3 Challenges in 1

Morning everyone. It’s a wet & chilly morning here in Dundee today. Perfect weather for a bit of crafting. So far I have spent time printing lots of photos off the computer so I am all up to date with the photos I need to scrapbook. With all the card making I have been doing I am a tad bit behind on my kids albums. Oops, so needless to say I need to get onto that!!

The card I am posting today qualifies for 3 challenges, and I so enjoyed making this card. It was fun. We got home from our camping trip yesterday morning, and I made this card in the afternoon. The first card I had made in 10 days!! The layout of the card is based on the Friday sketch over at Taylored Expressions, and it was a lovely simple sketch to work with. Gotta love that!! Over at the Simon Says Challenge Blog, the challenge for this week was to use stitching on your card. Not so much of a challenge for me, as I use my sewing machine quite often on my cards. For this card I did use a stitch that I have never used on a card before, and I was extra pleased with the way it came out! I will definitely be using that stitch more often. It gives the card a lovely finish I think! And then finally, over at Cute Card Thursday the challenge is to use Yellow & Black. I must admit this was my fav challenge of the 3. I have never used these 2 colours on a card before, and after finishing my card I stepped back and thought how nice the colours look together!! Outside my comfort zone, but a colour combo I will definitely use again in the future. The adorable image is one that was stamped for me by my Dundonian friend Angella. It was such a pleasure to colour in this image with my Copics. So sweet!! I also used my new Moroccan Screen Cuttlebug folder. I love this one, and will be using it a lot in the future!

So without further ado, here is Taylor’s Sketch.

And my card and close-up photo. I have really been battling to take nice photos of my cards, so sorry for the poor quality!

Would love to hear what you think! Thanks for stopping by, hope you all have a great week.
