I knit a hat for me!!!

Hello. I am writing this from a wet and cold Dundee. It's a pleasant change from the 35 Degrees Celcius weather we had on Wednesday. The boys broke up for their December holiday yesterday, and I am so happy about it. A month of chillaxing!!

So anyway, I wanted to share with you a knitted item that I finished about half an hour ago. I got my son Caide to take some photos for me!

The pattern is called Nantes Hat and is from the latest copy of Interweave Knits. I have been wanting to knit myself a hat for the longest time, and when I saw this in the mag I knew I wanted to knit it. It's full of lovely cables (which I love to knit!). I knit it with Sublime Cashmere Merino and used one and a half 50g balls.

I am linking this post to my friend Linda's Creative Friday which she hosts every Friday. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. My sister Lauren is coming to visit. I hope to do lots of knitting and chatting with her, she is the only other member of my family that knits!!

FO: Seaweed Cardigan

So happy that it's once again Friday!! It has been a lovely week though with the kids being on school holiday it has been so nice and chilled!

Today I am linking up with Creative Friday over at Natural Suburbia.

I finished this cardi last year, but am only getting to post about it now!! I started knitting this item on the 26th of September and finished it on the 20th of November. The pattern is from the Interweave Spring '10 issue, and was a wonderful pattern to knit, I thoroughly enjoyed it!! I used Elle Courtelle in the colour Winter Sky and knit it on 4mm needles.

The photos were taken by my son Caide!!

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit, I really do appreciate it. Hope you have a lovely crafty relaxing weekend!
