I LOVE my new Scrappy Log Cabin Quilt!!!!

Hiya all. Things have been a bit quiet on the blog front, cause we have been busy busy busy with exams around these parts!! Thankfully by Wednesday next week we will be all done!

I have been doing quite a lot of sewing though, and managed to finish my scrappy log cabin quilt, which I started after being inspired by the QAL hosted by Ellison Lane Quilts

Unfortunately I didn't finish my quilt in time to qualify for any of the lovely prizes up for grabs, but I think my gorgeous quilt is prize enough for me!

A Finished Quilt

Hey there. Just wanted to share some photos of a quilt I finished in October, and am only getting to post about it now!! I am totally in love with this quilt and have in on my bed, I love walking past it and just running my hand over the stitching. I love this feeling of satisfaction and pride in a item that I have spent hours and hours on!!

The quilt is based on the pattern "Jelly Filled" by Thimble Blossoms. Camille Roskelley is my quilting Hero and she is the one that initially got me interested in quilting through her amazing blog SIMPLIFY. Do yourself a favour, go and check it out.

The fabric I used on this quilt is Awesome by Sandy Gervais. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this fabric!!

So here is my quilt:

Fabric Tuesday's at Quiltstory

Fresh Poppy Design

So the two awesome sisters Heather & Megan over at Quiltstory had the idea to start "Fabric Tuesday's" over at their blog. The idea is to link your fabric creation.

So today I am going to share a cushion I made last month. I made it with the left-over fabric from my first ever quilt, the Avignon Picnic quilt, which I blogged about here.

Please don't get me wrong, I love this cushion way more than the face in my photo would indicate :)

Check out Quiltstory to see all the other wonderful fabric creations!!
