It was recently our 10 year wedding anniversary, and my sweet husband bought me a Cuttlebug. Not very romantic I know, but its what I wanted, so I am so chuffed. I had seen all the amazing cards made with this machine, and just thought they looked fantastic. And of course if you have spent any time on Jennifer McGuire's site, she has raved about it, so I had to have it!! It is quite expensive here in South Africa, R950.00 for the machine and about R52.00 for an embossing folder. I got 8 of those so I have got a nice extensive range. I also got a few die cuts, definitely want more of those.
So as a result, most of my cards that I have made recently have embossing on them. I just love the texture it gives the cards. Yesterday I went and bought some embossing powder so I want to try and play with that. I loved how Jennifer McGuire used it recently on one of her son's lo's.
This is one of the first cards I created using my Cuttlebug. The stamp I used is one by a South African company called Great Impressions No. D1336. I coloured it in using coloured pencils and blended it with a big of turps (need to get a less toxic blending agent!!).
Does anyone know where we can get the Hanna range of stamps here in South Africa. I would love to get my hands on some of them, they are just too gorgeous and so much fun. If anyone knows, please let me know.
Anyway, must be off. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hi Rene

Congrats on the Cuttlebug! I adore mine-the best tool ever for cards!! Darling card!!! :)
Your card is so pretty!! You will absolutely love your Cuttlebug! I use mine all the time and feel as though I got my money's worth out of it already! I think it also adds so much elegance to a card. Enjoy & have fun with your Cuttlebug!
