Say it in .... Black & White

Welcome back to my blog for our Friday challenge with Annabelle Stamps!! Our challenge for this week is to create a card in Black & White. At first I thought I might battle with this, but in the end I didn't and rather ended up having FUN with this challenge!!

This is not going to be a long post. I am feeling like death warmed up, the flu is hitting me in a big way. On top of that I had my first session of Boot Camp this morning, and am already stiff as heck. So needless to say I am feeling a bit sorry for myself :(

So without further ado here is my card:

(CLICK ON THE IMAGE FOR A LARGER VIEW)

I used the adorable image from the Lil Monster set that was released in the last week. I think this little guy is absolutely adorable!! I cut off the balloon he was holding , and I love it, he looks like he is giving the "thumbs up" sign.

I used a lovely star stitch on my sewing machine for some detail down the side of the card, added some lovely black ribbon and the blingy gems are also from Annabelle Stamps.

I hope you will play along with us, once you have created your card link it at the Annabelle Blog. While you are about it, why not visit all the other Annabelle DT girls' blogs (their links are in my side-bar), to see their gorgeous Black & White creations!!

(While you are here, scroll down to my previous post to see another card I created using one of our newly released Annabelle Sets, it really is a cutey!)

My First Challenge over at SCS!

Just a quick post in-between cooking supper and all the other evening chores. I wanted to do a quick post to show you the card I made this afternoon to take part in my first challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.

It is the Wednesday Sketch Challenge, here is the sketch , No. SC303:

I used the gorgeous Lil Michelle image from Annabelle Stamps on my card, I adore this image!! I also used my new Hero Arts stamp for the background. It is the stamp CG197 Old Letter, I stamped it with Opaque Vanilla Embossing Powder from Annabelle Stamps and then inked it in the way I learned from the Holiday Thinking Inking class with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in the colour Tattered Rose. I only got this Hero Arts stamp today as well as the Distress Ink, so I had to incorporate it on my card :)

My card also happens to qualify for the challenge over at wee Memories! They are having a wonderful giveaway with this challenge, a ScorPal, I would LOVE to win one of those!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. Be sure to come back tomorrow for Annabelle Stamps next fun challenge! :)

Holiday Thinking Inking Week 3 Christmas Card

Morning. Just a quick post before I rush out the door to take Jamie to swimming lessons!!

Today I am going to share a card I made based on Jennifer McGuire's 3rd week of Holiday Thinking Inking Classes over at 2Peas. I am thoroughly enjoying this stamping course!!

So here is my card. Totally different to my usual style, but LOVED putting this together!!

I used the Hero Arts Bird Trio set of stamps for the images. The sentiment I used is from the "Jewelled Tree" stamp set by Annabelle Stamps, and the embossing powder is also by Annabelle Stamps. The snow flakes were cut out using a Cuttlebug die, and I found an old French book in our 2nd hand book shop yesterday, and used that for the paper that the birds were inked on. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink for colouring the book page and for inking the sentiment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Remember to stop by on Friday for Annabelle Stamps next fun challenge!

Release 3 - Lil Belles Monster and Bee

Welcome back to my blog today, for our final Annabelle release of the month!!

We had a bit of a mix up with our first release where some girls did the Molly & Michelle sets (that was me) and others did the Monster and Michelle sets.

So today I am going to share my Lil Belle Monster card as well as the VERY cute Lil Belle Bee set. Have a look at the adorable images that are included in these mini sets:

Are they not just the most adorable sets ever!?!

So here are my projects. Wow, I am really enjoying playing with these wonderful Annabelle Stamps, they make the process so much fun. I am loving my card making right now!! :)

The first card is made using the Lil Monster set:

I decided to do something a little different with the Lil Bee set, have a look, I created a tag to go with a bunch of flowers!

(If you would like to have a closer look at any of these photos, just click on them for a bigger view!)

These 2 projects were so much fun to put together. I am really enjoying spending time at my craft desk playing with my new stamps and new stamping goodies :) If you have any questions regarding the products I have used on my card and tag, please feel free to ask me about it!

Release 2 - Teresa's Numbers & Backgrounds by Design

Hi ladies. Welcome back to my blog, hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! Today we are sharing our second release of the month with you!! I really think these two sets are absolutely fabulous! Quite a bit different to those Annabelle Stamps has released previously, but very versatile and fun!! Have a look!

I love number sets, and this one is no exception, I especially like the words that are included in the set, and just wait and see what I did with the background set!! :)

Here is the first card I created with Teresa's Number Set:

And here is my next card created with the "Backgrounds by Design - Numbers" set:

(If you would like to have a closer look at any of these photos, just click on them for a bigger view!)

I had a blast putting this card together. I had seen a video of Jennifer McGuire's where she stamps and then embosses an image, and rubs Tim Holtz Distress Ink over the image, and that is what I did on this card. I LOVE the effect!! I used the "thanks" image from the Teresa Numbers set and the lovely rich brown ribbon is also available from Annabelle Stamps.

So we are having a blog hop with this release. You will start at the Annabelle Blog, and follow the links along the way. If you leave a comment on each of our blogs you could win these two wonderful sets!!!

****The next person you need to visit is JERUSHA, go and leave a comment on her blog :)****

The two new sets that have been released today will be available from the Annabelle Shop when we finish off with our final release of the month on the 19th of October

I hope you have enjoyed the time you have spent hopping with us!! :) Don't forget to come back on Tuesday for our final new exciting release of the month:)

Preview 1 - Lil Belles Michelle & Molly

Hi all. Welcome back to my blog. Today we are celebrating the first October release from Annabelle Stamps, and I must say I am totally in love with the 2 sets that are being showcased today!!! They are just up my alley as far as my style of crafting goes, and I am sure you will love them too!! Do you want to have a look?? Of course you do!! :)

Are they not just too cute!!

O.K, so I got a bit carried away with my sample cards, as well as the photographs I took, so please bear with me :)

I used Basic Grey patterned paper for this card, my new Martha Border Punch and coloured in my image with my lovely Copics. I used my new Ranger Glossy Accents (LOVE this stuff) on the teddy, heart and bows for a bit of dimension. The ribbon, flowers and pearls I used on the card are from Annabelle Stamps.

Here is the next card:

I decided to make this card slightly differently. The tag on the card can come off and be used as a book mark for the little girl who is sick. I used my stunning new Tim Holtz distress ink in the colour Peeled Paint to change the colour of the tag. The border punch and big butterfly punch are both by Martha Stewart. The die-cut hearts on the tag were cut out using my Cuttlebug and Cuttlebug die. The lovely pink Sprinkles are from Annabelle Stamps!

So what do you think of these new stamps?? Don't they really make the most adorable cards and projects?! I certainly think they do :)

So we are holding a blog hop with this release. You will start at the Annabelle Blog, and follow the links along the way. If you leave a comment on each of our blogs you could win these two wonderful sets!!!

****The next person you need to visit is JERUSHA, go and leave a comment on her blog :)****

Holiday Thinking Inking Week 2

Morning!!! Just a quick post to show you the card I made based on Jennifer McGuire's tutorial for the 2nd week of Holiday Thinking Inking over at 2Peas. I must say I am LOVING using techniques that I have never tried before, that Jennifer is just awesome. So here is my card, very simple and quick to put together, but loads of fun!!

The stamp I used for this card is a new one I got this week from Hero Arts called "Wild Flowers", I LOVE this stamp!! I also used my new Tim Holtz Distress Inks for the background. The sentiment is from the "Sentimental Bluebells" set by Annabelle Stamps. I got all my new Hero Arts goodies from Niki at Paperchain - paperchn@netactive.co.za. I know she is placing a new order with Hero Arts on the 15th (which is tomorrow!), so contact her quickly if you need any new Hero Arts stamps!!

I received some WONDERFUL news on Tuesday, the card I made for Jennifer's Week 1 class was chosen as one of the winners over at 2Peas. Super stoked :)

See you back here tomorrow for the new Annabelle Stamps releases. You really won't be sorry, more opportunities to win the new sets being released!! :)
