Annabelle Sketch Time

Hi everyone, another week has whizzed past!! Hope you have all had a good one. Ours has been fine, if not a bit hectic, but hey, when your kids are at school and are sporty kids, that is what your week is going to be like!!

Andrea has given us another lovely sketch to work with this week. It's a bit of a change to the more "square" type sketches that we have been working on. I had to alter mine slightly, because, believe it or not I do not have an oval set of Nesties or an oval template, shocking, I know!!

So here is the sketch:

And here is my card. I used the "Flowers with Love set", which is just lovely! I also used the "Build-a-bling" set for the flourishes in the corners. Don't you love the cream hearts on the card!! They are also available from Annabelle Stamps. I made this for my aunt Pam, it's her birthday today, so hopefully she will get her card early next week.

Remember to join in our bling sketch challenge just add a link to your creation using Mr Linky here and you will have the chance to win a $20.00 gift voucher to spend in store. Any stamps can be used, but if you have AnnaBelle Stamps that would be great, and any bling.

What have you got planned for your weekend?? Me and my boys are swimming the Chelmsford Challenge on Sunday. Bryce is swimming the 500m Fun Swim, and Caide and I are doing the 1000m race. Wish me luck, I haven't done much training for it!!

A new challenge over at Scrap & Stamp

The new challenge for the week was an easy one for me. It is to use product 6 months or older. Everything on my layout easily qualified for the challenge. I went off my scrapbooking for the longest time, and as a result didn't buy any new "stuff" for ages! But I have gotten my mojo back now, and of course just want to buy new goodies!

Anyway, without further ado, here are a few photos of my layout!

Thanks for stopping by and looking. I would really like to take part in some other Scrapbooking Challenges, does anyone have any suggestions for some that are fun to play along with. Would really love to hear from you!

Something new for our challenge this week!

Hi everyone. Yay, yay it's Friday!! The boy's first week back at school is done and dusted, and we are truly back into the swing of things. What a busy and chaotic week. It certainly is much easier having them home on holiday! Anyway...what can you do! I am certainly not up to homeschooling!

So, let's get onto the sketch for this week. When I saw it, I instantly thought I wanted to do a scrapbook page instead of a card. I have had this idea in my head for quite some time, and I am really pleased with how it turned out. So, here is the sketch:

And here are a few photos of my layout from different angles. I used the Jewelled Tree set, which I love!! I created a wording border across the top of the page, used the Christmas tree stamp in the top right hand corner of the layout and embellished it with some gorgeous green, red & silver Sprinkles. I also stamped a few stars from the same set. This is a lovely Christmas set, and so versatile.

We would love for you take part in our sketch this week, remember all you have to do is follow the sketch and add some bling!! Click on the Bling Challenge Blinkie in my sidebar to take part.

Hope you have a lovely weekend. I am off to get a new camera tomorrow, so I am SOOOO excited!

New Challenge at Scrap & Stamp - Sugar & Spice

Hi All.

Hope you had a fantastic weekend. Ours was lovely, very relaxing!! The boys go back to school tomorrow, so we will have to get back into a new routine. I really am going to miss them! We have had an absolutely wonderful holiday, and I haven't once got to the stage when I have thought "I wish they were back at school".

Anyway, just a quick post. It's 3:30pm in the afternoon, and it's nearly time to get supper on etc.

I am posting a scrapbook layout today which qualifies for the weekly challenge over at Scrap & Stamp. The theme is Sugar & Spice, which is one I don't often get to use. Having 3 sons I really don't do girly lo's nearly as often as I would like. But... I do have one to share with you today. It's a layout I did of my very special sister and her gorgeous daughter Kayla. Hope you like it!

Enjoy the rest of your week!

It's Release Day Today!!

Good morning all my fellow crafters. Hope you have had an awesome week. Mine has been great, just really hot and steamy here in South Africa, dreaming of some nice snowy and cold weather!!

So as the title of my post would indicate, Annabelle Stamps are releasing a whole lot of new stamp sets and of course some yummy new Sprinkles! The new sets are just stunning, and are crammed full of stamps in each set. They are made of quality photopolymer and are just a dream to stamp with!! Andrea has also come up with the most awesome sets to use with your Sprinkles, to add bling to your cards. I LOVE this idea!! So without further ado, let me show you the 3 wonderful sets I have had the opportunity to work with:

Are they not just gorgeous!!

So let me show you the card I made this week, playing with all my lovely new stamps & Sprinkles. The sketch Andrea gave us, let us play with our Build-a-Bling sets, for adding Bling to our cards. LOVE this idea!! Here is the sketch:

And my card from a few different angles, just to show you the lovely Sprinkles up close!!

I used all 3 sets in putting this card together. So what do you think??

Annabelle Stamps is also now on Facebook, so if you are a Facebook lurker go and become a fan. For those that become fans there will be special offers on a regular basis, and one for the new release. It really is worth doing!!

It is also Andrea's birthday today, the link to here blog is in my sidebar under DT members, I would love for you to hop on over and send her a birthday message, I am sure she would love that. She is a great lady to work with, and I hope she has a fantastic birthday!! Cheers to you Andrea!

Wow, this has been a mammoth post! Please try and take part in our Challenge this week, or just go and have a look at the new stamp sets and Sprinkles. You won't be sorry!

My own homespun Multnomah

I have been knitting like a crazy woman the last few weeks, and I am LOVING it! There is nothing like creating an item from wool that you have spun yourself, let's just put it this way, I am hooked!!

So I thought I would share some photos of my latest creation. The pattern is called Multnomah, and it is a free pattern available over on Ravelry. It was a fun and easy knit, and I have already cast on for a second one.

So what do you think? I would really love for you to leave a comment...

It's new Sketch Time!!

Friday is a good day, it's the day I get to post my new Annabelle card, and I am so happy with the way my card turned out this week!! Andrea's sketch is a simple one, but as she says, you can make your card as plain or as detailed as you like. Most of the other DT members made square cards, but I just made a normal sized card. I don't make the square ones, cause I can't get hold of square envelopes, and I like to use the cards that I make! I also like to make more detailed cards, and like it when they look "full". I really like how fellow DT member Kylie's card turned out! Anyway here is the sketch that we played with this week:

And my card from a few different angles:

So, what do you think?

We would love for you to take part this week. I would especially encourage my fellow RSA girls to take part, let's show them what us South African girls can do!! I was very happy to see Ursula took part last week (she has just taken the plunge into blog land!) and Sharon (although not a RSA girl) is also a wonderful South African card maker, and she takes part often! So please give it a bash, all you need to do is add some bling to your card where ever the sketch indicates, and click onto the Annabelle Bling Challenge blinkie in my side bar to go and link your card.

Hope your weekend includes lots of crafting!!

P.S. Andrea is giving away an Annabelle Stamp set over at her blog, so hop on over and go and enter her giveaway!!

A new Annabelle card and challenge

Hi, wow, my days are all upside down, it really doesn't feel like Saturday today!! So needless to say I am a day late in posting my latest Annabelle card, sorry about that!! Andrea has once again given us a lovely sketch to work with! As I mentioned in my previous post I seem to have my cardmaking mojo back, so I really enjoyed putting this card together.

Here is the sketch we got to play with:

And here are a few photos I took of my card. I used the adorable image and sentiment from the "I can fly" set, this is really one of my faves. I also used some lovely Olive 6mm Sprinkles. Loving them!! I coloured the images in with my Copics.

Andrea is releasing 5 new sets and some new Sprinkles on the 15th of this month, so stay tuned for that! I myself, can't wait!! We would really love for you to join us in this week challenge, click on the Annabelle Bling Challenge Blinkie in my sidebar to link your card. Remember, you don't need to use an Annabelle Stamp on your card, you just need to follow the sketch and use some bling, come on, you know you want to!
