Hello. I am writing this from a wet and cold Dundee. It's a pleasant change from the 35 Degrees Celcius weather we had on Wednesday. The boys broke up for their December holiday yesterday, and I am so happy about it. A month of chillaxing!!
So anyway, I wanted to share with you a knitted item that I finished about half an hour ago. I got my son Caide to take some photos for me!
The pattern is called Nantes Hat and is from the latest copy of Interweave Knits. I have been wanting to knit myself a hat for the longest time, and when I saw this in the mag I knew I wanted to knit it. It's full of lovely cables (which I love to knit!). I knit it with Sublime Cashmere Merino and used one and a half 50g balls.
I am linking this post to my friend Linda's Creative Friday which she hosts every Friday. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. My sister Lauren is coming to visit. I hope to do lots of knitting and chatting with her, she is the only other member of my family that knits!!

beautiful hat!
I love your hat!! It's so beautiful, the cables are amazing. Thank you so much for linking to Creative Friday my friend:) I hope you have a wonderful visit with your sister and knit up a storm.

Linda
Oh Rene is it absolutely stunning. I love knitting cables too. When Kendall was small, she had a hand knitted cable jersey in every colour to match her cords. I always got such lovely compliments. Sadly, I have not knitted for ages. Have a fab weekend, hugs Sharon x
for yourSELF??? Girl, what were you thinking? And how did you think it? Because I want to think it for myself TOO. something for your very own self to wear. I didn't know we were allowed.
