So here are my projects. Wow, I am really enjoying playing with these wonderful Annabelle Stamps, they make the process so much fun. I am loving my card making right now!! :)

The first card is made using the Lil Monster set:

Release 2 - Teresa's Numbers & Backgrounds by Design

Hi ladies. Welcome back to my blog, hope you are having a wonderful Sunday! Today we are sharing our second release of the month with you!! I really think these two sets are absolutely fabulous! Quite a bit different to those Annabelle Stamps has released previously, but very versatile and fun!! Have a look!

I love number sets, and this one is no exception, I especially like the words that are included in the set, and just wait and see what I did with the background set!! :)

Here is the first card I created with Teresa's Number Set:

And here is my next card created with the "Backgrounds by Design - Numbers" set:

(If you would like to have a closer look at any of these photos, just click on them for a bigger view!)

I had a blast putting this card together. I had seen a video of Jennifer McGuire's where she stamps and then embosses an image, and rubs Tim Holtz Distress Ink over the image, and that is what I did on this card. I LOVE the effect!! I used the "thanks" image from the Teresa Numbers set and the lovely rich brown ribbon is also available from Annabelle Stamps.

So we are having a blog hop with this release. You will start at the Annabelle Blog, and follow the links along the way. If you leave a comment on each of our blogs you could win these two wonderful sets!!!

****The next person you need to visit is JERUSHA, go and leave a comment on her blog :)****

The two new sets that have been released today will be available from the Annabelle Shop when we finish off with our final release of the month on the 19th of October

Preview 1 - Lil Belles Michelle & Molly

Hi all. Welcome back to my blog. Today we are celebrating the first October release from Annabelle Stamps, and I must say I am totally in love with the 2 sets that are being showcased today!!! They are just up my alley as far as my style of crafting goes, and I am sure you will love them too!! Do you want to have a look?? Of course you do!! :)

Are they not just too cute!!

O.K, so I got a bit carried away with my sample cards, as well as the photographs I took, so please bear with me :)

I used Basic Grey patterned paper for this card, my new Martha Border Punch and coloured in my image with my lovely Copics. I used my new Ranger Glossy Accents (LOVE this stuff) on the teddy, heart and bows for a bit of dimension. The ribbon, flowers and pearls I used on the card are from Annabelle Stamps.

Here is the next card:

I decided to make this card slightly differently. The tag on the card can come off and be used as a book mark for the little girl who is sick. I used my stunning new Tim Holtz distress ink in the colour Peeled Paint to change the colour of the tag. The border punch and big butterfly punch are both by Martha Stewart. The die-cut hearts on the tag were cut out using my Cuttlebug and Cuttlebug die. The lovely pink Sprinkles are from Annabelle Stamps!

So what do you think of these new stamps?? Don't they really make the most adorable cards and projects?! I certainly think they do :)

So we are holding a blog hop with this release. You will start at the Annabelle Blog, and follow the links along the way. If you leave a comment on each of our blogs you could win these two wonderful sets!!!

Holiday Thinking Inking Week 2

Morning!!! Just a quick post to show you the card I made based on Jennifer McGuire's tutorial for the 2nd week of Holiday Thinking Inking over at 2Peas. I must say I am LOVING using techniques that I have never tried before, that Jennifer is just awesome. So here is my card, very simple and quick to put together, but loads of fun!!

The stamp I used for this card is a new one I got this week from Hero Arts called "Wild Flowers", I LOVE this stamp!! I also used my new Tim Holtz Distress Inks for the background. The sentiment is from the "Sentimental Bluebells" set by Annabelle Stamps. I got all my new Hero Arts goodies from Niki at Paperchain - paperchn@netactive.co.za. I know she is placing a new order with Hero Arts on the 15th (which is tomorrow!), so contact her quickly if you need any new Hero Arts stamps!!

I received some WONDERFUL news on Tuesday, the card I made for Jennifer's Week 1 class was chosen as one of the winners over at 2Peas. Super stoked :)

See you back here tomorrow for the new Annabelle Stamps releases. You really won't be sorry, more opportunities to win the new sets being released!! :)

A Caardvarks Challenge Card

So my Mom got re-married over the weekend, I am SO happy for her :) I needed to make a card to go with the gift that we gave her, and I wanted it to match the wrapping paper I used.

While I was doing a bit of net surfing I stubbled across the Caarvarks website, which I hadn't visited in months. Their challenge was to case one of their designers cards. One of the cards immediately jumped out at me as being perfect for the Hero Arts little birdy stamps I wanted to use. Here is the card I came up with!

I cased Lucy's card, do you see any similarities?? :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog!! I hope you are having a good week. Mine is crazy busy!!! One day down 3 more busy one's to go!!

Please stop by again on Friday, Annabelle Stamps is releasing some lovely new stamp sets. The sets we are showcasing on Friday are some of my fave so far!!!

Say it with... No DP

Hello all. Welcome back to my blog. It has been quite a busy week for me, posting wise as well as all the other things going on!!

So our challenge over at Annabelle Stamps this week is to create a card with no Designer Paper (or Patterned Paper as we call it here in SA).

I actually had so much fun with this challenge. I even created 2 projects!! First up is a card:

I used the "Hooo Loves Christmas?" set for the owl image and the "Floral Silhouettes" set for the sentiment.

My second project is a tag, and is slightly Jennifer McGuire inspired. I have had a Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink in my stash for years, and have never used it!! After viewing Jennifer's latest Holiday Thinking Inking video I thought I would play a bit. Here is what I came up with:

I used the stunning "Sentimental Bluebells" set for this tag and some lovely green Sprinkles.

I hope you have enjoyed your time here at my blog, and that I have given you some ideas. All of the lovely stamp sets I have used on my projects are available from Annabelle Stamps, why not go and have a browse around??

I hope you will play along with us. Once you have created your card link it at the Annabelle Blog. We have a wonderful new person joining our DT, check out the Annabelle Blog for the details.

I am off down the coast for the weekend, so I will see you back here next week xx

Dean Street Hat out of my own Homespun

Hi all. My friend Linda hosts Creative Friday over at her blog Natural Suburbia. I always seem to post my item a day late, but better late than never.

Today I am going to share the cutest hat that I knit with my own homespun. I am SO happy with the way this hat turned out. It is a lovely pattern, you can find it on Ravelry HERE, and my handspun wool has knit up to such a soft texture. I actually knit this for myself, but realised I look like a total dork in hats!! Luckily it fits Jamie!! Want to have a look? I am going to share all of the stages of this project!

So what do you think??

In other news, it is World Card Making Day today!! I am hosting a lovely card making challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges today, you can find it HERE. I would love for you to play along. If you do, you stand the chance of winning a $20 gift voucher from Annabelle Stamps!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. It is hot as heck here today, we all feel like we are melting, and are praying for some much needed rain!!

Say it in Blue & Brown with Annabelle Stamps

Morning everyone. Wow, this one week of the boy's school holiday has absolutely flown!!! How I wish time would just slow down!!

So as my title would indicate our challenge at Annabelle Stamps this week is to create a card in Blue & Brown. I LOOOOOVVVVEEEEE this colour combo and use it often. So this wasn't too much of a challenge for me. I did challenge myself to use one of the Annabelle Stamp Sets that I haven't used before, so used the "Rockin' Instrumental" set for my card today. Do want to have a look at what is included in this set?

What a fabulous male set this is!! I have 3 sons with lots of male friends, so I can see I am going to use this set a lot!!!

Would you like to have a look at the card I created? O.K, here it is:

As I said I used the "Rockin' Instrumental" stamp set for the main image as well as the music stamp I used in the two corners, and I also used the "Branch Out" set for the sentiments. I also used some yummy chocolate Sprinkles for a bit of bling on my card. If you would like to have a look at these sets, as well as all the lovely Annabelle goodies available, check out the shop HERE!

We would love for you to play along with us!! After you have created your card just link it to the Annabelle Blog.

Hope you have a wonderfully relaxing crafty weekend!! xx
