Hi all. I haven't been around here for a while, I have actually really enjoyed the break!! A belated "Happy New Year" to you, I hope the year holds lots of love and happiness for each and every one of you.
While I have been on holiday I have been thinking a lot about my blog, and where I might be going with it. I admit, I have been feeling a bit jaded about the whole thing, and have been considering shutting it down. Upon more reflection, I have decided not to shut it down, but just change my perspective and focus of my blog, these are the changes I have made, and would like to make:
1. First of all I resigned my DT post over at Crafting for All Seasons. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and made lots of new friends, but my heart is just not in cards anymore!! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be on your team Dawn! I have tried (without success) to find somewhere to sell my cards, and have been rather deflated by the reactions received by recipients of my cards. My time is precious to me, and unfortunately I feel this hobby (at this stage of my life), is a bit of a waste of time. So.... I am afraid you will probably not be seeing too many cards here on my blog!
2. I am going to continue with my DT position over at Sketches in Thyme. Scrapbooking has always been my first love, and I feel it's VERY important to capture my families memories. So I will be posting scrapbook layouts here!!
3. I am doing Project Life again this year, so I may post family photos here from time to time (maybe my Mom will even start supporting my blog this year!)
4. I am going to focus more on family, exercise, my veggie patch, friends, knitting, baking, and generally just trying to live a better life for myself, my kids and of course my husband. I don't want my blog to be a pressure point anymore, and will post when I feel like it, and about a range of different aspects of my life. Hopefully most of you will still stick around and support me (I hope you will)!
I finished my December Daily album a few days ago, here are just a few of my favourite pages:
Isn't our December so different from that of those living in the Northern Hemisphere?!?!
So.... I hope to see you around soon. I am still blog hopping like a crazy woman, and gaining inspiration from the many talented ladies out there. This is a wonderful community to be a part of!! :)

I feel exactly like you about cards! I really enjoy your layouts! My best wishes for you in this New Year and lots of success!
Rene, there is a time and a season for everything in our lives. It's fun to try new things and revert back to the old.
Enjoy your family, scrapbooking and all the other things in life that bring you happiness.
I'll still be following you, because I am back on the "GET MY SCRAPBOOKS DONE" mode, too.
See you around in blog land.
Happy New Year.
Sorry to see you go Rene, I'll miss your inspiration.
One of my resolutions this year is to do some scrapping so I may see you over at Sketches in Thyme and will keep following for some inspiration.
Best wishes. Carol x
I for one will keep visiting you my friend. I love your Project Life pics, they are stunning and you need to keep doing these as they are memories that your children will treasure for ever. You're so talented in a variety of things that I am sure you'll not be losing any followers, but gaining new ones. Good luck honey! hugs Sharon x
